The team
GridCentric is piloted by a collection of smart, high-energy
individuals. Members of our team have worked together for years in
developing new technologies.
Tim’s ten years of industrial experience prior to founding GridCentric
include four development and product lead roles, five software start-ups,
one Fortune 100 company, and one University -- in areas as diverse as
real-time embedded systems, mobile gaming, and computational biology. Tim
holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and an M.Sc. in Systems and Networking,
both from the University of Toronto.
Adin’s industry experience includes several start-ups as well as two
industrial research labs. Adin holds a B.Math in Computer Science from the
University of Waterloo and an M.Sc. in Systems and Networking from the
University of Toronto, where he has taught Operating Systems courses and
completed coursework towards a Ph.D. His research focus and expertize is
in operating systems and networking.
Andres received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto
in August 2009. Throughout his research, Andres has worked on the
applications of virtualization to cluster and high-performance computing,
application migration, security, graphics acceleration, and cloud
computing. Andres has obtained the NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship and
the ACM Eurosys 2009 Best Paper Award.
Vivek received an M.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Toronto,
focusing on storage virtualization. As part of GridCentric, Vivek is building
novel storage solutions that address the current and emerging storage needs
of HPC clusters.
David has many years of industry experience working on small, medium and
large scale enterprise software projects. He has in-depth knowledge on
soliciting requirements to design and build an application from the ground
up, managing the release process and supporting the application while in
production. He graduated with an Hon. B.Sc. in Software Engineering from
the University of Toronto.
Kannan posesses a rare mix of low-level systems knowledge and experience
in scientific computing. His industry experience includes work with
compilers, embedded platform development and providing computational and
bioinformatics support to research labs. He maintains an interest in
high-level languages and tools. Kannan holds a B.Math from the University of
Waterloo.
